Great pictures. Do hope u & yours are doing well. Sorry about the 2008 events. I have read u for years and admire your knowledge and mothering instincts - stay strong and true to yourself. You are an amazing woman with four wonderful children to your credit!

Hi Gram,
Most of the floral pics were taken above Alta Sierra, Ca. The pictures of the creek and river were taken just south of Johnsondale, Ca. Both are in the Sequoia National Forest in the Southern Sierras. They're about 90 miles from here. It was gorgeous up there.

Anita,
Thank you. :)
*hugs* We're all healing and enjoying summer.

Damn, you have a good camera! The close-up detail of the flowers were awesome. :)

Let SCS know whatever you wish, anonymous poster. I contacted them as well.

Hi Possummomma. I have a question. You have lupus, right? You cannot tolerate sunlight, so much so that even a few minutes in your kids bedrooms would cause you to blister and send you to the emergency room. In order to be able to move around your house, you had to put window film on your windows (generously paid for by people who believe that you have lupus). Care to explain how you can stand in the bright sunshine?

This one is particularly interesting...

Look at that sunline shining directly on your arm. Did you blister badly after this exposure?

I don't need nor do I expect a response from you. There's really nothing you can say. A photo is worth 1000 words.

One more thing; don't bother deleting your photo album. I've already downloaded the photos that I will need.

Have a nice day, Penn Mommy!

Yes

Not exactly.
Lupus, like alot of other chronic illnesses, waxes and wanes with the tolerance issues. Also, I've been trying new medications and methods to enhance the amount of time I can safely spend outside. Add that to special clothing and I'm able to spend more time outdoors.

I think I just did. Not that you really care much.

LOL Get a life.

Actually, not too badly. I did blister and burn, but my childrens' smiles were well worth it. Or, would you suggest I cloister them and have them suffer as a side effect of my illness/limitations?

I don't need nor do I expect a response from you.
There's really no reason to post then, is there?
There's really nothing you can say. A photo is worth 1000 words.

See above.

A photo is worth 1000 words. The difference between you and I is that I see happy children on an outing with their mother and you see some grand conspiracy. I think that says more about you than me.

BTW- I had another mod tell me that there's a sudden upsurge in nasty comments left here. Just so you know, I may or may not read them. Some of them are deleted before I see them, so don't waste your time.

Not Penn Mommy, but continue YOUR fantasy life while you're on vacay from SCS.
Also, if you're copying my photo album, you have issues. Why would I delete them? OH! Yeah. To avoid people like you, possibly?
