KO KOs Bush

Keith Olbermann is my new hero. Can I get an "amen!"?

"Sir, to show your solidarity with them (people who have lost children in Iraq) you're giving up golf?...4000 Americans lose their lives and your sacrifice is golf?" - Keith Olberman

I can't wait for tomorrow's transcript of the Special Comment.

I watched the re-airing just 20 minutes ago due to my DVR cutting off the last couple seconds.

At the end when he tells Bush what to do, he pauses for the briefest of moments before continuing on. You know he was debating whether to use a stronger word than what he used. While what he said was very strong, there is a much stronger word he could have used that, for moments like these, all too fit what is being said.

I'm not going to say the word due to this being a family blog, but I do believe that adults use this word when they feel is necessary. And what the Edward R. Murrow of our time, Keith Olbermann, said tonight definitely needed this word.

I love teh Olbermann rants!

Although I was a bit "meh" about the golf part of this rant. If Bush had continued golfing, Keith would be ranting about the frivolity of that. And the "gotcha" about the timeline about when he said he stopped golfing -- with his brain damage, I'd chalk it up to "misremembering" the exact dates.

GW should have just kept it to himself -- like I didn't notice he hadn't golfed in the past 4 or 5 years, and I doubt anyone else has.

(The first part of the rant was spot on, though.)

omfsm, Colbert just introduced Grover Norquist on the Report tonight! Yuck!

It would have been better if he had given up the presidency instead.

"If you believe in the seamless mutuality of government and big business, come out and say it! There is a dictionary definition; one word that describes that toxic blend: You're a fascist. Get them to print you a T-shirt with the word "fascist" on it."

Love it! I really need to watch the Countdown more often. I always seem to miss his best rants.
