It's like a heat wave...

If God exists, then he officially fails for making it more than one hundred degrees Fahrenheit in mid-May. I don't think I've ever seen it get this hot, this early. We were well over 100 today. I think our thermometer topped at 105. That's insane! Luckily, we had bought this little pool on clearance last fall.

I think this is more likely our fault. :)

I was hiking in the Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands this weekend (http://geocaching.gpsgames.org/cgi-bin/ge.pl?cacheID=620) and there was frost and icicles on the sprouting ferns. It's the middle of May and there are icicles?

While over here in Georgia, where it's normally hitting 90 or so most days by now...we're still dropping into the 40's at night, and have only hit 85 1-2 times this year.

There's always a good side though; there are barely any mosquitoes yet, and my lettuce crop is still going strong.

P-M, your kids look like they are really enjoying that little pool, and you got some cute shots!

We hit a hundred in Berkeley the other day. As I was lured here with promises of max temps in the low 80s, breeze, and the cute saying of "The coldest winter I ever had was the summer I spent in San Francisco," I was a little peeved. And very, very hot.

God fails again :(

It may be hot during the day but it makes for a pleasant evening at Sam Lynn Ballpark watching the Blaze.
