Holiday Photo Attempt

Today was the annual "Let's see if we can get four kids to smile at the same time", Holiday card, photo attempt. You guys don't get to see the best ones until we mail our greetings after Thanksgiving. But, here are the silly, not-so-great pics.

Whaddya mean "not so great"?? These were wonderful! I think you should put in an action shot (them running down the hill) as your holiday photo.

I love the one of P4 blowing on a dandelion the best, but I guess you can't have just him on your card. ;)

I can't remember the last time I took pictures of my kids...but I have a lovely shot of a milkweed seed from 3 days ago. Haha!

If those are the ones that are 'not so great', the ones that are must be really, really cute! Your kids are beautiful!

I took the pics and I wasn't happy with the lighting on some of them.
They're cute, but... the one we picked for our cards is AMAZING. We got all four looking at the camera and smiling big. :)

I like that one, too. I'm going to order a 8x10 to put on my photo wall. But, yeah...the other kids might revolt if he were the only one in our holiday newsletter. I should've uploaded the picture of him having a Mexican Standoff with a squirrel. But, I was laughing so hard that pics are kind of fuzzy.
Betsy...Your kids are beautiful!

Thank you. :)

PM, smiling family pictures, even of really beautiful ones, are what everybody sends. Why not some kind of "blooper" shot, or as shadesofgrey mentioned, an action shot? Something that captured them and their personality in action. A family holiday card is, afterall, a way to show off what the family has grown* into over the past year, and what better way than a picture that captures who they are.

*(If I understand correctly...I never did this tradition).

At least, these are just my opinions. The picture still looks really good, so looking forward to seeing the one you chose, if you share it with us. :)

I will share it. I'm thinking of putting the newsletter online.

You have wonderfully smiling happy children. They positively glow with health and you should be very proud to be their mother...Now if I could just get my three to stay clean for ten minutes let alone stay put for their photos.

if these are not the best - I am soo jealous. I only have the one kiddo and a dog - and my good photos are never this good.

I think you've done a fantastic job of capturing your children's personalities. These photos are terrific!
