Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!
I was treated to fresh cinnamon rolls, for breakfast. Then, I received many, many, many kisses and hugs from the possums. *warm fuzzies* P#2 made me some wonderful bath salts (let no one say that he's not secure in his manhood- he hand made his mother bath salts... he'll be such a great father and husband someday). P#1 got me Christopher Hitchen's new book. P#3 drew me a lovely picture. P#4 picked a flower from the backyard and gave it to me with a smooch. *LOVE* Mr. Possum acquired a subscription to Skeptic Magazine for me.

I am a very lucky Possummomma.

Happy Momma's day P-Momma!

P#3 drew me a lovely picture.

Hey that's what I got Saurianmomma. (She hates it when her kids spend money on her, but I cheated and got her a nice frame.)

P#2 made me some wonderful bath salts (let know one say that he's not secure in his manhood- he hand made his mother bath salts... he'll be such a great father and husband someday).

Very nice, P#2. By the way, uh...

How exactly do you make bath salts?

Happy Mother's Day to you!!!

My kids made their things at school, the oldest son made me a candle holder and a card it said "mom, you are as sweet as a rose and as nice as a cat"!!! LOL, I think I'm flattered?!

And my second son painted some butterfly suncatchers, got some sort of plant and a pretty, almost 3-D type of card. And just got a wet kiss from my babygirl : )

I went on a nice walk and had the whole day to myself while my husband took the kids to Fiesta Texas. After the pretty walk I watched movies in bed and drank three beers. Big fun lol.

What great Possums!

For our Mother's Day, the daughter and I left the little fellow with the Gramps, and had a 1-year-old-free day. Yippee!! Sometimes, that's what a Mama needs...

We had brunch with the daughter's fiance's mom, stepdad, brother and brother's fiance (first time I met any of them), took in Spidey 3, then I got to meet daughter's future FIL & his girlfriend, as well as the future GrandparentsIL. (GILs?) Nice folks. Wedding in 3 and 1/2 months....

thought I would give you something beuatiful to read- remember the old Murray case? and 'Your petitioners are atheist'?

"Your petitioners are Atheists and they define their lifestyle as follows. An Atheists loves himself and his fellow man instead of a god. An Atheist thinks that heaven is something for which we should work for now - here on earth- for all men together to enjoy. An Atheist accepts that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, subdue and enjoy it. An Atheist thinks that only in knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment.

"Therefore, he seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to 'know' a god. An Atheist knows that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist knows that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death.

He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man. He wants an ethical way of life. He knows that we cannot rely on a god nor channel action into prayer nor hope for an end of troubles in a hereafter. He knows that we are our brothers' keepers in that we are, first, keepers of our lives; that we are responsible persons, that the job is here and the time is now."
